It’s gonna be okay – Jesus won’t leave or forsake us!

It’s very difficult for me to when I am down to remember this fact.

Once we are saved it is forever, and God will never leave us.

Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)

5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Obviously this book is written for the Hebrews, but we can gather as Children of God that God won’t leave or forsake us either. A lot of the Bible is written for Israel, don’t forget that! But remember that it is still important for us to read it, so we understand more of God’s word, even if it’s not talking about us in that verse or chapter or book or what have you.

When I was a teenager, I got deep into false doctrines from Charismatics, and it nearly led me to suicide. Those people that say that they have a “word” from God, don’t listen to them. God has given us everything we need in that Bible!

And God has helped me so much. I have a group of fellow-believers who are family literally in Christ and have encouraged me so much. I always thought before that I was okay on my own, but I realize now the importance of fellowship. Its a miracle that God put me in their lives.

If today you don’t have anyone to have fellowship with, if you are saved, remember that Jesus always wants to spend time with you. Talk to Him like a friend, He is closer than a brother and loves you far more than you or me or anyone here could imagine. Open up the Bible and talk to Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand the Bible. He will! I can tell you from experience and asking the Holy Spirit to help me.

If no one else tells you today, I love and appreciate YOU! and Jesus does too!
