Overcoming Worries and Fear – With Jesus!

If you are reading this, you may struggle with worries and fears too in your life.

It can be crippling for me at least at times, and I just wanted to give you some tips on what I do.

  • Pray to Jesus and focus on Him, as hard as it may be
  • Think of heaven and what it will be like being there with Him
  • Read encouraging scripture like Romans chapter 8, Philippians 4, maybe even some Psalm chapters when David was going through difficult times.

If you need prayer, feel free to comment and I will pray for you, I know that can be extremely difficult in this world not to worry and get fearful, whether about your past, or the future, or the present, whatever it might be. We all still sin here and I hope this will encourage and help someone out there today.

Jesus loves you!!

Psalm 34:1-6 (KJV)

34 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Be Strong as an Ox and Merciful as Jesus

Be strong and never give in,

Let the Lord lift you again.

Never wallow in misery,

Let the Lord guide you to victory.

Others will leave you,

But Jesus won’t ever leave you.

Tell the devil to stick it,

I trust in Jesus, i’ll never quit!

Romans 8:38-39 (KJB)

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Forgetting The Past

Hello!

I understand that some may have a difficult time letting the past go and moving on. Here is a verse that helped me tonight:

Isaiah 1:18 (KJV)

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Jesus is all we need. And we can choose to forget about us and focus on what He did for us. He alone has taken away our sins, covered them completely in His precious blood!

You can’t quit. You can’t give up.

One day someone who needs to hear this I believe will read this. I want this to be known to you whoever reads this. You are reading the words typed by a young man in his early-twenties, who is no better than you. He is scared to drive and is single, among other things. But one day this man, just like you, if you are saved, God will deliver.

I know what it feels like to try to be loving to others and them ghost you. There is only other than God a handful of people that even talk to me. I know what it feels like to look at a bottle of pills, to wonder how much it would hurt. But I am here to tell you that you are reading this for a reason. Jesus loves you. Don’t give up! The Lord loves you.

I have been a believer since I was 12-13 years old (can’t remember when exactly I first got saved) but what bothers me is most “Christian” sites are just like YouTube channels. Keywords, fonts, all kinds of stuff just to get views. That’s not the goal here, and you can keep your money, buy yourself something nice. I don’t want it! I just want you to first get saved, and then be encouraged. That’s all.

If you aren’t saved yet, I encourage you to read the how to be saved post on this site.

Don’t give up. Jesus will help us. He loves us! 🙂

Bible Verses to Comfort You Today

1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 (KJV)

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Romans 8:26-39 (KJV)

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

1 John 5:10-13 (KJV)

10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Going Back Into The Battlefield

2 Corinthians 1:4 (KJV)

4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

The tribulation, the trials we face in life, God can use that if you let Him, to help others who struggle with the same thing that you went through.

Divorce, Loneliness, Physical Pain, Mental Pain, Financial Struggles, etc. It doesn’t matter.

God wants to and can use you to help others, if you let Him. As believers we have the privilege to comfort others and share not only the gospel with them and hope that they get saved, but we also have the privilege to share our life with them, and that we aren’t perfect either. And that Jesus loves them, and to tell them how He delivered us when we were in that situation, that trial, that time.

I encourage you to look up a sermon by the late Dr. Jack Hyles, called “God’s army uses only wounded soldiers.” It has helped me today.

Bless you and I hope nothing but the best for everyone, including you! Jesus loves and cares about you too!

Josh

Never Give Up On God, Please.

There has been truthfully days and nights when I didn’t want to live anymore. Others try to relate to you but they fall short.

My struggles aren’t unique to me but they feel that way. That feeling where its like you are the only person in the world, and others just live their lives, and you are stuck.

I ask you and I ask myself to call on Jesus when we feel this way. He is that friend we want, that person that no one else can seem to fill.

He loves you dearly. I cry too a lot. This world is sinful and its not looking any better.

But we have that one with us as believers, who will never leave us, and His name is Jesus. His blood on that mercy seat is covering our sins, all of them.

Please know you are not alone. There are others like me out there who are believers, who struggle. You are valued too. I laugh at that sometimes myself but it is true. Jesus loved us enough to die for us. We do matter to Him, no matter what it looks like here.

If no one else tells you this today, I love you!

Romans 8:28 (KJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

And hey, if you are not saved yet, please go to the main page, there is an article on how to be saved forever right now. I encourage you to get saved!

Bless you!

Lifting Each Other Up!

As a believer for about a decade now, I have seen the importance (somewhat) in lifting each other up when we are down.

We can give Bible verses of encouragement to one another.

We can give messages of encouragement to each other.

We can have mercy and love each other, when our mind wants us to condemn said person.

We are sinners. We mess up. Are you better than me? Am I better than you? Not condoning sin of course, but none us are better than each other. Without Christ we’d both end up in hell. That’s the truth!

I am asking myself in this too. The next time we see a brother or sister stumble, lets pray for them. Jesus loves them. I need to work on treating others better in my personal life and seeing them as Jesus sees them, with the love He has for them. That He died for them too.

John 8:7 (KJV)

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Jesus wants everyone to be saved. Get saved if you aren’t already. The time is short! Jesus wants you!

Don’t Look At Yourself, Look At Jesus

I know this is very difficult from how I often portray myself, and then how the Lord sees me. If you struggle with this, don’t be afraid, you are not alone, trust me.

There are three reasons why in my personal life I believe I think of myself the way I do,

  • As a boy, I wasn’t popular at all in school, and I assume I am less than others
  • I have never had many friends, and I am used to always having to start conversations for others to talk to me. If you want to really encourage someone, talk to them without them talking to you first, it will really make their day better.
  • As every other believer, God has things here He wants me to do, so obviously satan would want me to be discouraged in life to prevent God to work through me.

However, Jesus sees us differently once we are saved and forever His. Read this:

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Hebrews 10:14 (KJV)

14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (KJV)

21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

In Jesus eyes we are a new creature, the old has passed away. We are perfect in His sight, His precious blood on that mercy seat in heaven is covering all of our sins. All of it! We are valuable to Him, what He did to save us is truly amazing, something none of us deserve!

Ephesians 1:13-14 (KJV)

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Romans 8:16-18 (KJV)

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Bless You! Jesus loves you and I pray that this would encourage someone today!

Josh

Never Give Up. You aren’t worthless. Don’t believe the devil’s lies.

Ponder these things in your mind right now. These are facts:

  • Jesus died for you too, He shed His blood on that cross, and 3 days later after being buried rose again bodily, and in heaven He sprinkled His precious blood on that mercy seat in heaven. He did it for you too, that you could be saved and spend eternity with Him.
  • I’m not going on scripture here, but if you were worthless, you wouldn’t have any battles in your mind. The devil wouldn’t pick on you or waste his time with you if you weren’t worth it. There is something that God wants you to do, that the devil doesn’t want to happen.

A Story.

There was once a young man. He had left high school and was working a dead-end job. He left that job because he couldn’t take it anymore. A year and a half he wasn’t working. He lost around half of his body weight and was nearing suicide. He had sold or thrown away most of his possessions, thinking it would please God. One point in that year and a half he would use curtains to keep warm at night in his near-empty room. He would sit or kneel on the floor every night basically, crying, telling God that he wish that He would take him, that he didn’t want to live anymore.

What God did for this young man was really something else.

This young man humbled himself and asked for Jesus to help him. He trusted that Jesus would deliver him. So God led him out of those false teachings that hurt him so much in that year and a half he was unemployed. God gave him a new job, one that paid more than the previous, and he gave him favor too at this new job.

God didn’t stop there though. He gave him fellowship with a group of other believers, which he never really had before. Those brothers and sisters helped him and prayed for him and encouraged him to keep going in dark days that he would have.

And even now God is working things for his good, because he promised to, and because of his love towards that person.

That person is me.

Never give up on Jesus. Humble yourself before Him. I made a lot of mistakes in my life, but He will help you. Just come to Him. Right now. He wants you so badly. He loves you.

You are worth it to Jesus.

I’ll say it again.

YOU are worth it to Jesus. Jesus loves YOU!

Romans 8:28 (KJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
